The words of Jaume Cabré about Amb Catalunya al cor (With Catalonia in our hearts)

People with inquiring minds experiment and innovate, get some things wrong and other things right. With this third recording by La Simfònica de Cobla i Corda de Catalunya (The Cobla and String Symphony Orchestra of Catalonia),the instigators of the initiative, by now determined recidivists bring us a delightful, interesting programme that will reach into the depths of listeners' hearts. The selected works, the artistic effects and the unique sound of this orchestra combine with the heartfelt sentiment poured into the project by all concerned. As on both previous occasions, two of the pieces were especially composed for this coblaand string orchestra. Without realising it, there are already six new works -to my knowledge- composed for this type of orchestra, which just goes to prove the saying that the function creates the organ.

In this CD, there is research work, high aesthetic sensitivity, courage for undertaking new paths and, above all, many hours of dedication. As a music-lover, I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the composers, arrangers, and musicians, to the instigators of the idea, and to METALQUIMIA who, with its continuous generosity, is always close to these initiatives. After hearing this recording, I carry Catalonia in my heart even more than ever, if such is possible.
