The words of Jaume Lleixà about Obstinately Llach

Jaume Lleixà, Technical Director of Simfònica de Cobla i Corda de Catalunya.

What can I say ... getting together with obstinate people is a good thing. Our grandmothers scolded us by saying "look how obstinate you are!", with a certain air of reproach, as if obstinacy was something negative. The CD we now present shows that the sum of obstinacies gives very positive results.

Yes, we are obstinate: obstinate Lluís Llach who for nearly fifty years has shared his feelings with us in poems and songs; obstinate the Cobla Principal de la Bisbal that has been playing music all over Catalonia for more than a century; obstinate the members of the JOCG who summer after summer, after a full course of tireless work, decide to dedicate much of their vacation to furthering their musical training and participating in projects like the SCCC; obstinate the guest artists who continue to endorse our project with their collaboration; obstinate Francesc Cassú who has gradually consolidated the sound of our unique orchestra; obstinate Adrià Barbosa who has helped to internationalize the project; obstinate Narcís Lagares and Josep Lagares, Eulàlia Tomàs and the entire Metalquimia family who, besides carrying forward a leading company, devote so much effort to enriching the culture of our country. Well, I am very sorry to contradict the grandmothers, but I think they were wrong.

So, obstinate people of the world, let’s unite! I am convinced that together we can make a happier world.
