- Words of Francesc Cassú about Mare Mundi – Tribut al mar
Words of Francesc Cassú about Mare Mundi – Tribut al mar
Mare Mundi
The 13th SCCC project is here. They say 13 is a complicated, difficult, or unlucky number. I don't think so, after listening to this new project. A different kind of music that transports us to another type of texture in which water is essential, where the sea is the protagonist.
Whenever we finish a concert presenting a new SCCC project, many people ask us: "So what are you going to do now? Aren't you running out of ideas?" And I always personally answer them the same: "No. Don't worry."
The SCCC team is very powerful. You have no idea what a huge filter we have to go through to separate the different musical ideas and themes, to narrow down the more than 200 songs that result, and to, in the end, unravel the final setlist.
A setlist that must be organized, distributed, named, arranged, rehearsed, recorded, modified as necessary, and brought to the stage for the approval of our audience, an audience that is both very loyal and very critical.
And then, with the work already done, we meet again, we ask you, "How did it go? Did you like it?" You answer with your usual demanding criteria, and you end up saying again, "But what about next year? What will you do?"
And it all starts again. May it be for many years to come.
