Words of Josep Lagares about Mare Mundi – Tribut al mar

Motivation

It was early 2019 when, at the METALQUIMIA Foundation, we conceived the trilogy "EMOCIONA'T AMB LA SIMFÒNICA DE COBLA i CORDA" ... we aimed to help you rediscover the best Catalan and global music, enjoying it from the heart... this trilogy resulted in three EMOCIONA'T albums: 25 ANYS DE MÚSICA GLOBAL, HIMNES DEL COR, and THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS. The three concerts were recorded by Catalan Television with great audience and audience success... and additionally, the projects "25 ANYS DE MÚSICA GLOBAL" and "THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS" were awarded the Enderrock Award for Best Classical Music Album by Popular Vote.

This year, 2025, and after a year of creative reflection, we want to present a new trilogy that reflects the SCCC's homage to icons of our world. A musical tribute that aims to transport us and move us, once again, with those global symbols and experiences that we have all heard and experienced since we were very young… Today, the first delivery of the new trilogy will be a TRIBUTE TO THE SEA that we have called “MARE MUNDI” ... a tribute to the most transversal melodies of the most global seas.

On behalf of the Lagares family and the entire Business Group that I am honored to represent, I would like to express my fervent hope that you will once again be moved by the Simfònica de Cobla i Corda de Catalunya and its versions of the seas of now and always... melodies that make us realize that today, more than ever, we must take care of our Seas, Oceans... and our Planet if we want to continue surviving!
