04/08/2026
Palamós, August 4, 2026 – The Simfònica de Cobla i Corda de Catalunya (SCCC) was chosen tonight to open the milestone tenth—and most special—edition of the prestigious Amb So de Cobla Festival in Palamós. Performing before a packed crowd of around 1,500 spectators at the Josep Sarquella Square, the ensemble presented its latest multidisciplinary production, Mare Mundi.

This musical journey, conceived as a grand homage to the sea as a symbol of life, movement, and shared emotion, brought together nearly 100 musicians and singers on stage, including the Polifònica de Puig-reig choir alongside vocalists Beth, Mariona Escoda, Samantha, Joan Garrido, and Arjau. Conducted by Francesc Cassú, the performance showcased the immense strength of a genre expanding its boundaries by blending traditional heritage with contemporary arrangements.
